Dr Daftari undertook a degree in microbiology and biomedical sciences, before studying at Semmelweis University, to become a Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 2009.
A unique combination which pointed to further studies, following experience in dental practice. A one-year course in implantology came first, then the beginning of his ongoing dedication to periodontology.
This brought Dr Daftari to the UK, for a three-year training program at Barts & The London. A renowned, specialist course, which focuses on periodontology and building skills in implant dentistry.
Qualification in periodontics followed, then an advanced diploma in periodontology in 2015. An exceptional level of attainment which he has put into practice within the UK, at good quality dental facilities.
Dr Daftari is respected in his field and now acts as a clinical tutor for postgraduate students, at Barts & The London. He also takes an interest in research on the regeneration of tissues of the periodontium.
His main wish is still that patients can benefit from his skills and knowledge. Through treatment of medical and aesthetic gum issues, from periodontal disease, to correcting gummy smiles and gum recession.
