Fadi is highly respected in the field of implantology and in taking this area of treatment forward, by mentoring colleagues, or setting academic standards.
He is Senior Lecturer and course lead for the MSc in Implant Dentistry at UCLan School of Medicine & Dentistry, along with being academic lead for the Masters course and responsible for setting the curriculum.
Fadi completed PhD at Imperial College London in 2023, focused on research in the department of materials and faculty of engineering. Being part of advances in implantology adds benefit to the treatment he offers.
His own training began at Bristol University, where he graduated in dentistry, followed by studying medicine at Imperial College London. The knowledge from both disciplines bringing a natural focus on oral surgery.
This led to a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) in England and affiliation to the RCS in Edinburgh, having attained their Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Other academic training included techniques for full mouth rehabilitation.
An exceptional background, academia could take all Fadi’s time but he would miss the contact with patients. He has been placing implants since 1998 and understands the advantages they bring to his patients.
His work as a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology is about encouraging dental specialists to enjoy patient centred treatment. Part of Fadi’s belief that dentistry is about people’s lives.
When time allows, he journeys to Kenya, helping to bring better medical care to the Maasai people in the Olorte region. We are equally grateful that his treatment time in England is based at our West London clinic.
Other staff working in implantology value his input and our patients receive fine care, for one implant, or the most complex of needs.
